India is well-known for its jewellery. The Indian bride, regardless of her area, places a high value on jewellery. Every traditional wedding, from north to south, features a jewel-encrusted bride. The Mughals brought Jadau into India, as they did many other aspects of our jewellery traditions. The Indian craftsmen of Rajasthan, particularly Bikaner, honed it afterwards.
Even now, the Jadau work from Bikaner is regarded as outstanding. Even so, Bikaner isn't the only place where Jadau work is done. This tradition has extended to other cities, including Jaipur, and other states, including Gujarat. Now, the most well-known provinces for Jadau work are Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The ghaarias are the artisans who engrave the pieces and drill holes in them to enable subsequent embedding. As previously stated, this technique entails embedding stones. A small amount of gold is melted to make it adaptable. The stones or crystals are then placed on top of it once it has achieved this state. To complete this task with precision, care and finesse are required. When the gold cools, the gems or crystals stick to it without any assistance. Meenakari is used by the enamellers to embellish the back of the ornament.
